Clemson Eye, a visual health and surgery clinic, is building a $4 million facility at 360 Pelham Road in Greenville.
The 18,500-square-foot facility will have 11 treatment rooms, a surgical suite, a Lasik suite and a retail area for eyeglasses and contacts. The new building will also enable Clemson Eye to expand and add a Pediatric Ophthalmology suite and a medical aesthetics suite, said Mary Louise Parisi, CEO of Clemson Eye.
Parisi said the company took its time to select just the right parcel of land so when Lasik patients open their eyes and sight begins to return they will see the beauty of the mountain range through expansive windows. “That’s a view that the high elevations and the interior design
The Regency style of the building was chosen for its “simple, clean and classic style with exterior details that don’t overwhelm the architecture” and complement the traditional architecture style of the neighborhood, she said.
Once completed, the current operation on East North Street and its Spectrum Lasik Company currently located on Maple Tree Court will move to the new building.
Construction is expected to be completed by September 2015.
