Dr. Wearden has over 25 years of experience providing primary eye care, contact lens fittings, and comprehensive eye exams. He is dedicated to providing excellent eye care to his patients. He is passionate about maintaining an effective doctor relationship with his patients while seeking to offer the best for their ocular health and quality of life.
Dr. Wearden was born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia before moving to Indiana. There he attended Indiana University School of Optometry where he obtained his Doctorate of Optometry in 1999. After graduating from Indiana University, he moved to Manning, SC, and practiced in his self-owned practice, Clarendon Eye Center. Clarendon Eye Center was a rural practice that treated a large variety of pathology, including; Glaucoma, Diabetes, Macular Degeneration, Pre and Post Operative procedures, and Scleral Lens Fittings.
In 1997, Dr. Wearden married his wife, Lisa, and together they have three daughters. In his free time, Dr. Wearden enjoys sports of all kinds, especially hiking and boating. He is heavily involved in Church and is currently finishing his Masters of Divinity Degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte.
