Dr. Donald Purcell graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Davie, Florida in 2000. He attended Stetson University for his undergraduate training and received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 1996. He was a member of the Chemistry Honor Society. Amongst the scope of his profession, the aspects he finds most rewarding are the diagnosis and management of ocular complications related to systemic diseases, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and multifocal and multifocal and astigmatic contact lens fitting.
Dr. Purcell is a family man and loves spending time with his beautiful wife and three amazing boys. When he is not examining eyes, you can most often find him on the baseball field; he is an enthusiastic coach offering technique, leadership, and sports vision tips to all of his players. As a Florida native, he also enjoys surfing and fishing. He is excited to explore the opportunities his new home state offers, such as water sports on the lake and fly fishing by rivers and streams.
